If you buy the blanket, do this.
This is my third winter with the insulated blanket. To answer most of your questions in the reviews that are only one or three star, yes the middle clip melts off that happened to me the first year but I just use it without one. Also did research before my purchase and found many complaints about t...

Not worth it until you upgrade
Won't waste time or money getting this product since it can't be used the entire cook time. Trauger, I have your solution. Upgrade materials to withstand 600+ degrees and straps made from same Kevlar high heat materials used in the fire service and industry like welding and foundry work. Add side ...

Worth it
Great for using in a winter climate. Helps maintain temps and use fewer pellets.
Great product, well designed and constructed
Kept the grill within 3 degrees of set temperature while outside temps were below freezing. Well done.
Pro 780 blanket
Was curious if this was going to work. Well it worked like a champ. Up in Northeast Ohio, that night we got with a snowstorm and winds at 30 miles an hour. Had two briskets on at 3 o'clock in the morning lo and behold everything kept temperature and not an issue.
Helps during cold seasons
Great Fit, uses kess pellets in the winter. Can soak up the rain a little so keep a cover on!
Add side sections that cover the side of the grill to retain heat properly. Make those changes and you'll have a product worthy to have your name on it. If I had the time and money I'd do it myself.
Excellent purchase
Just what I needed for those cold winters to keep the temp!
Poor Design Safety Hazard
Smoked meat at 140 degrees with outside air temperature at 40 degrees. Insulation blanket was on the smoker. Recipe called for finishing meat at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Insulation blanket fell apart at the bottom clips. The insulation blanket could not be removed the last 10 minutes without risk of personal injury. Therefore, in order to cook the meat, the insulation blanket cannot be used which defeats the purpose of the blanket.
nice blanket but not weather resistant
i bought this blanket for winter smoking. works well. but i don't know its weather resistance?? do i take it off between smoker sessions
